A THERMAL LAMINATOR DESIGNED FOR EFFICIENT PHOTO LAMINATION
The GMP Lamimaster-IDH 56 Pair Duplex UHS thermal laminating system is designed for large volumes of web-fed digital photo production through silver halide replacement (SHR™). Its embossing roller gives digital photographs an attractive silver halide lustre that replicates the look and feel of conventional photos without the use of expensive photo paper or chemicals. Able to produce a gloss or lustre finish, the embossing roller can be activated or deactivated as needed. This machine laminates both sides of the web in a single pass.
The Lamimaster-IDH 56 Pair Duplex UHS comes with a rewinder and an unwinder to support streamlined, off-line lamination. To aid in paper roll changeovers, both the rewinder and unwinder include a splicing table and a button-activated film roll lift. Due to the unit’s accessible top panel and walk-in side hatch, operators can clean and maintain rollers and other parts of the laminating system easily. Sensors alert operators if film or paper runs low, and the unit automatically stops if a break in the web is detected. This system accepts web up to 560 mm wide and is ideal for producing digitally printed portrait photos, calendars, photo books and albums, cards, and more. Its induction heating (IDH) roller ensures the laminator is ready to operate within 10 minutes after startup.
Yes. The Lamimaster-IDH 56 includes a chill roller that sets the embossing pattern immediately after it is applied to accommodate high run speeds.
No in-line slitting solutions are currently available for the Lamimaster-IDH 56. However, operators can purchase the GMP Photo Slitter-5663, a near-line slitting unit from Nobelus, to slit prints between 101 and 305 millimetres.
